Well, like I said we went back to Shenandoah this weekend to check out the difference a few weeks did to the colors, and I have to say, wow. Photos don’t do justice to the pure range of yellows, oranges, and reds everywhere. It was incredible. Also, due to the rain we got this week, the tiny trickles of waterfalls last time turned into full gushing streams.
The hike with Andy/Abby/Sudha was a welcome relief from the strong winds today that almost blew us over while standing at some of the overlooks. Once down in the woods, the cool air was a welcome relief while walking along the trail.
Unfortunately, I somehow lost my phone sometime during the day, and now I am phone-less for a while until I figure out if I can locate it or end up buying a new one. Oh well. This time last year I lost my phone as well, but that time I also unfortunately lost my camera (due to theft) so I guess I have to be thankful for the small things :).
