Definitely a snow year, and Boise is no exception. Its great to be back and able to snowboard with decent snow less than an hour away. I am off to Bend this weekend to hit up Mt. Bachelor for the first time, but I want to try to get back into the posting groove so here is a quickie.
While in Charlotte for Christmas this year, we were (blessed?) with ~3-4 inches of snow the day before we drove out west. Not exactly what I wanted driving wise, but who doesn’t want a white Christmas? We were out saying goodbye to my mom/cousin as they braved the elements to drive back north, and this hawk just happened to land in my Aunt/Uncle’s tree while we were outside. Luckily my telephoto lens was easily accessible and I got some pretty good shots. I am pretty surprised at how well the 200-500mm lens actually did on an FX sensor, since I had assumed all this time it was a DX lens. But I guess not…
