Stanford

While at Stanford this past weekend, I took the opportunity to tour around the campus. Though it isn’t an Ivy League school, this campus can compete with any on the east coast. Everything from the buildings to the vegetation just makes the place gorgeous. It reminded me of a Spanish version of Harvard or U Penn.

One of the biggest highlights, was the Cantor Rodin Collection. So many great pieces in one place. What I didn’t realize, was that it’s actually the third largest collection in the world behind the Musee Rodin in France, and the Rodin Museum in Philadelphia (which I posted about back in June). It was just incredible to see the Burghers of Calais statue again, though the one at Stanford is slightly different, in that all the people make an individual statues instead of one large statue.
